Birds of my life. Painted on scraps of wood found in a Baton Rouge parking lot. It’s hard to believe the shapes weren’t originally meant to be birds. Also it snowed today, the second most it has snowed here in recorded history. When I stepped outside this morning, and I live next to I-10, it was quiet as the country.

Lizzy and I went to Jaxon’s in Parksley, which I haven’t been to in yearrrrs, and they had everything one could possibly need. Items for less than a quarter, YES, even in these hard times. Bring back the general store, bring back the town square, there should be benevolent mischief in the streets, dancing, neighboring, etcetera. Also this book I picked up on the free shelf at the Cape Charles library—it called to me. There is a tiny worm illustration at the bottom of each page, who I love. “Mark my worms”
